1st Call for ITC Conference Grants - extended deadline!

1st Call for ITC Conference Grants

Application deadline (extended): Friday February 16th Wednesday, February 21st, 2018 - This Call has ended.

The Call can be downloaded here.

COST has launched a new tool for supporting PhD students or Early Career Investigators (ECIs) from participating Inclusiveness Target Countries to attend international science and technology related conferences. The grants are based on the accepted oral/poster presentation related to COST EMF-MED topics. The applicant presentation must be listed in the official event/conference program.

Following our call for expression of  interest in Applying for Inclusiveness Target Countries Conference Grants (ITC CGs) we are launching now the first call.

In order to apply for this call interested applicants should apply online to e-cost platform by Friday February 16th Wednesday, February 21st, 2018 and express their interest by sending email to the ESTC (i.e. STSM coordinator), Prof. Stavros Koulouridis, email: koulouridis@upatras.gr. A copy (CC:) should be sent to Action Secretariat: COST-EMF-MED@fesb.hr. Subject of the email should start with “COST BM1309 – ITC CGs Application” in order to allow for handling messages properly.

We plan to issue additional calls in the extension period according to the emails we have received till this day. We should note that the call for interest is always open and will be recirculated as a reminder

Additional details and info on the material needed in order to apply for ITC CG can be found in the attached file.

COST EMF-MED duration extended by 6 months (until 15 October 2018)!

COST EMF-MED duration extended by 6 months

COST Association granted a 6-month extension to COST Action EMF-MED. This moves the end date of our Action from 15 April 2018 to 15 October 2018.

Consequently, we shall use this extension to move our final event (1st EMF-Med World Conference on Biomedical Applications of Electromagnetic Fields, together with 1st EMF-Med Training School on Biomedical Applications of Electromagnetic Fields) to September 2018 (there won’t be any events in April 2018, as originally planned).

The first announcement will be circulated soon.

This extension period will be managed as the additional Grant Period, but it is not yet accessible in eCOST. Consequently, all open Calls (STSM applications, STSM hosting, ITC CGs) are still valid with the announced dates.

Antonio Šarolić, Action Chair

Call for Interest: ITC Conference Grants

Call for Interest: ITC Conference Grants

This Call is closed, as the Calls for ITC Conference Grant applications have been published.

COST has launched a new tool for supporting PhD students or Early Career Investigators (ECIs) from participating Inclusiveness Target Countries to attend international science and technology related conferences that are not specifically organized by COST EMF-MED.

The main subject of the oral/poster presentation must be on the topic of the COST EMF-MED and must acknowledge COST EMF-MED. The application must be submitted at least 45 days before the conference start date.

Attendance at European conferences is preferred. However, conferences held elsewhere can also be considered. Applicants can expect that the grants will be limited to up to 1000 euros for attending a conference in Europe and up to 1500 euros for conferences elsewhere.

In order to better schedule the call(s) and the grant distribution we are requesting from possible applicants to express their interest by sending a one page letter of interest  by email to the ESTC (i.e. STSM coordinator), Prof. Stavros Koulouridis, email: koulouridis@upatras.gr. A copy (CC:) should be sent to Action Secretariat: COST-EMF-MED@fesb.hr.    Subject of the email should start with “COST BM1309 – ITC CGs Interest” in order to allow for handling messages properly.

Further details about the grants, the procedure and the letter of interest content can be found in the call: COST EMF-MED ITC CGs Call for Interest. The approval procedure is published here.

Please mind:

– This is a poll for interest. If you have a specific conference in mind, please answer this Call. Call for applications will follow. Your expression of interest is not the official application (which has to be submitted in eCOST), thus at this moment the interested applicants do not need to have an accepted conference submission.

– Per COST rules, the conference should end within the current Grant Period (up to 15 April 2018). However, in view of potential Action extension up to 15 October 2018, you can express your interest for using ITC CG also for a conference ending within the projected extension date (15 October 2018), so that we can plan in advance.
