Call for Interest: ITC Conference Grants

Call for Interest: ITC Conference Grants

This Call has ended.

COST has launched a new tool for supporting PhD students or Early Career Investigators (ECIs) from participating Inclusiveness Target Countries to attend international science and technology related conferences that are not specifically organized by COST EMF-MED.

The main subject of the oral/poster presentation must be on the topic of the COST EMF-MED and must acknowledge COST EMF-MED. The application must be submitted at least 45 days before the conference start date.

Attendance at European conferences is preferred. However, conferences held elsewhere can also be considered. Applicants can expect that the grants will be limited to up to 1000 euros for attending a conference in Europe and up to 1500 euros for conferences elsewhere.

In order to better schedule the call(s) and the grant distribution we are requesting from possible applicants to express their interest by sending a one page letter of interest  by email to the ESTC (i.e. STSM coordinator), Prof. Stavros Koulouridis, email: A copy (CC:) should be sent to Action Secretariat:    Subject of the email should start with “COST BM1309 – ITC CGs Interest” in order to allow for handling messages properly.

Further details about the grants, the procedure and the letter of interest content can be found in the call: COST EMF-MED ITC CGs Call for Interest. The approval procedure is published here.

Please mind:

– This is a poll for interest. If you have a specific conference in mind, please answer this Call. Call for applications will follow. Your expression of interest is not the official application (which has to be submitted in eCOST), thus at this moment the interested applicants do not need to have an accepted conference submission.

– Per COST rules, the conference should end within the current Grant Period (up to 15 April 2018). However, in view of potential Action extension up to 15 October 2018, you can express your interest for using ITC CG also for a conference ending within the projected extension date (15 October 2018), so that we can plan in advance.
